Ginger Tea Recipe (How To Make Ginger Tea for Aid Reflux)
Description
The lemon ginger tea is prepared by boiling water, then adding freshly grated ginger and sugar, simmering briefly to infuse. Fresh lemon juice is added after steeping and the tea is covered to concentrate flavors, optionally retaining fine ginger bits for texture. This variation is simple, clear, and mildly sweetened.
The ginger tea with milk starts similarly with boiling water infused with grated ginger and sugar followed by the addition of tea leaves. After a short boil and simmer, milk is added and boiled once more before simmering again, producing a creamy, spiced beverage. Sifting is recommended to avoid cream floating on top unless preferred.
Both recipes leverage fresh grated ginger to maximize flavor and potential soothing effects. The tea with milk provides a richer texture and stronger tea flavor, while the lemon ginger tea is lighter with a citrus complement. Both can be served warm, pairing well with light snacks.
For best flavor and texture, milk should be added only after boiling the ginger and water to prevent curdling. Letting lemon ginger tea steep covered for several minutes enhances its taste. Fresh grated ginger is preferred over dried for optimal results. Calorie content varies between versions, with the lemon ginger tea generally lower in calories.
