Glazed Lemon Brownies

Glazed Lemon Brownies offer a citrus twist on classic brownies with a tender crumb and bright lemon flavor. The batter is enriched with lemon juice and zest, baked into a soft, slightly dense bar, then finished with a smooth lemon glaze that adds sweetness and zing. These bars combine buttery texture with lemon’s freshness, suitable for dessert or snack occasions.

Description

This recipe mixes all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and softened butter to form the base, providing structure and moisture. Eggs, fresh lemon juice, and zest are whisked separately and incorporated to infuse the batter with natural lemon flavor. Baking produces a dense yet tender brownie with balanced sweetness accented by citrus notes.

Once cooled, brownies are topped with a lemon glaze made from powdered sugar, fresh lemon juice, and zest which adds a sweet, tangy finish and a slight gloss. The glaze sets on the surface to create a pleasant textural contrast without overwhelming the moist interior.

These brownies are suitable for lemon lovers seeking a dessert with a buttery foundation and refreshing citrus appeal. They can be served sliced as bars, making them convenient for gatherings or homemade treats.
