Glutenfree, fatfree and vegan pear crumble with oat and chestnut flour

Easy to make crumble with oat and chestnut flour. No eggs, dairy or oil needed: so not only glutenfree but fatfree and vegan as well. Naturally sweetened with maple syrup and coconut flower sugar. Enhanced with the comforting aroma of cinnamon.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 3 pear large or 4 when smaller, ripe and juicy
  • ½ cup Gluten-free oatmeal 50 grams, cut or quick oats
  • cup oat flour 15 grams, gluten-free
  • ½ cup chestnut flour (50 grams)
  • cup chestnut flour (12,5 - 15 grams)
  • ¼ cup coconut flower sugar (30 grams)
  • 2 tbsp coconut flower sugar
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • sea salt to taste, Celtic variety

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 390F or 200C.
  2. Peel the pears and remove the core. Cut into small pieces.
  3. Place all the ingredients for the crumble in a bowl and mix with a fork (or by hand) into crumbles.
  4. Mix the pear pieces with both flours, the sugar and the maple syrup.
  5. Place the pear mixture in the baking dish.
  6. Crumble the crumble on top.
  7. Place in the oven for 30 minutes. Check if it's not burning after 25 minutes.
