Goulash Recipe

Report
This classic goulash features ground lean beef cooked with diced onions and green bell peppers, simmered in a tomato-based sauce with beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Macaroni noodles simmer directly in the sauce, absorbing its rich flavors for a hearty and comforting one-pot meal.

Description

The Goulash Recipe starts by browning ground beef with diced onions and bell peppers for a classic base of sautéed aromatics and meat. Tomato sauce, diced petite tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, Italian seasoning, and a bay leaf are added to create a rich, savory sauce. Uncooked macaroni noodles are stirred in and cooked directly in the sauce, allowing them to soak up the robust beef and tomato flavors and resulting in tender, flavorful pasta.

The mixture is simmered gently until the pasta is cooked through, and the bay leaf removed before serving. This dish is warm and filling, offering a balance of tender ground beef, soft pasta, and a mildly spiced tomato sauce.

It's versatile and can also be made with other ground meats like turkey, pork, or chicken. Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed within five days, maintaining flavors well with rewarming.
