Grapefruit Margarita Recipe

The Grapefruit Margarita blends white tequila with freshly squeezed grapefruit and lime juices, balanced by homemade agave simple syrup. Rimmed with salt and garnished with grapefruit slices, it delivers a tart and sweet cocktail experience.

Description

This cocktail starts by rimming a glass with salt using fresh citrus to moisten, followed by filling the glass with ice. A shaker is filled with ice, white tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave simple syrup made by dissolving agave in hot water.

After stirring to chill, the drink is strained into the prepared glass and garnished with grapefruit slices, offering a refreshing, citrus-forward flavor profile with balanced sweetness and acidity.

The simple syrup can be made ahead and stored refrigerated up to a month. For entertaining, ingredients can be scaled and combined in a pitcher with ice and grapefruit slices to serve multiple servings easily.
