Greek Chicken Chops
Description
Greek Chicken Chops highlight a marinade balanced with smoked paprika and traditional herbs like oregano and thyme, coated evenly on chopped chicken pieces. The roasting process at 220°C (425°F) for 45 minutes, with a midway turn and optional broiler usage, crisps the surface while cooking the meat thoroughly. Using parchment paper for the baking sheet helps prevent sticking and makes cleanup easier.
The smoked paprika adds subtle smokiness, and garlic powder rounds out the seasoning. Lemon wedges served alongside provide acidity that complements the spice and richness from olive oil. Chili flakes can be added per taste to introduce some heat.
This dish works well as a main course served with salads, roasted vegetables, or grains. It is also suitable for preparing ahead since the marinade can be refrigerated up to 24 hours, ensuring the chicken absorbs the flavors deeply.
To confirm doneness, check that the chicken juices run clear before serving. This recipe provides a reliable method of roasting larger chopped chicken pieces to juicy tenderness with flavorful seasoning.
