Green Bean and Ground Beef Stir Fry

This stir fry features ground beef marinated in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and chili sauce, combined with tender, blistered green beans. The dish balances savory, sweet, and spicy notes, with fresh aromatics like ginger and garlic enhancing the flavor. Cooking the green beans separately before adding the beef preserves their texture and color. The finished dish is a hearty, well-seasoned meal component suitable for quick dinners.

Description

Green Bean and Ground Beef Stir Fry starts by marinating raw ground beef in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch. This imparts deep flavor and tenderizes the meat. The green beans are cooked separately in canola oil, blistered for a slight char and softened while maintaining bite, then combined with ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes to build aroma and gentle heat.

After cooking the beef until browned, the beans return to the pan, mixing with the meat and allowing excess moisture to evaporate. The result is a dish with a balance of tender, flavorful meat and crisp-tender green beans, carrying a hint of sweetness and spice from the marinade and aromatics.

  3. Add beef, cook until browned.
  4. Add green beans back to the pan, stir to combine.
  5. Continue cooking until excess moisture has evaporated.
