Instructions
- Add green tea bag and sugar to boiling water. Turn off heat and allow to steep for about 3 minutes to allow sugar to dissolve. Remove tea bag.
- Stir in juice and zest of lemons and cold water.
- Pour into large glass filled with ice. Garnish with lemon slices (optional)
- Variation:
- If you have a single-serve, Keurig style coffee maker, simply add your sugar to a large, empty heat-safe glass. Then, place your green tea bag into the area of your machine where a k-cup is placed. Select the smaller brewing size for your coffee cup and brew.
- Add lemon juice and zest to your brewed green tea and stir to combine. Add cold water, ice, and stir.
Notes
- If you prefer to not use sugar, simply follow the instructions of making the green tea lemonade but omit the sugar. Then, add your favorite sugar substitute to taste once made.
