Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken
Description
This recipe starts with a marinade combining Dijon mustard, honey, soy sauce, and fresh lemon juice, which imparts a balance of tangy, sweet, and savory flavors. A portion of the marinade is reserved to blend with mayonnaise later to create a finishing sauce that complements the grilled chicken.
The chicken breasts marinate up to four hours to absorb the flavors before grilling over medium heat, cooked about 6 to 7 minutes per side. This method develops a slightly caramelized crust while keeping the interior juicy and tender.
After grilling, the mayonnaise-based sauce is drizzled over the chicken to add creaminess and subtle tanginess, rounding out the flavor profile. Serving this chicken offers a flavorful, mildly sweet main course suitable for barbecue or dinner.
