Grilled Shrimp with Kimchi-Miso Butter

Kimchi-Miso butter grilled shrimp. Make a bunch of these delicious shrimp for the weekend or any day of the week!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 12 Shrimp or tiger prawn in shell, deveined, jumbo
  • 12 scallions plump
  • neutral cooking oil for brushing, generic cooking oil

Sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons White miso paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup kimchi pressed dry and finely chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients and microwave for 10 seconds.
  2. Drizzle the sauce over each shrimp and set them aside.
  3. Fire up the grill and brush a bit of oil on the grates. Brush the scallions with oil and grill them over moderately high heat, turning until they are tender and browned in spots. Transfer them to a plate.
  4. Place the shrimp on the grill, shell side down, and grill until just cooked through.
  5. Preheat the oven to broil. Add the remaining sauce to the shrimp and place them in the oven for 1 minute. Serve immediately.
