Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Use a food processor to finely chop the Oreos, making sure there are no large chunks.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the chopped Oreos and cream cheese together then roll into 1" balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Using a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in the microwave on high, stirring every thirty seconds, until fully melted and smooth.
- Add the coconut oil to the melted candy and stir well. If it's too thick you can add a bit more oil until it is a good dipping consistency.
- Pour the melted candy into a small jar or cup and use a toothpick to dip the balls in the melted candy and coat them completely. Tap them on the edge of the container to remove any access candy coating, then put them back on the baking sheet and chill for 10 minutes, until hardened.
- Place remaining melted candy coating in frosting bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off. Drizzle balls with melted candy coating then immediately place a red heart sprinkle on the top of each ball.
- Chill for about 5 minutes, until hardened, before serving.
Notes
- Reheat candy melts as necessary if they start getting too hard to dip or to drizzle. You could also just melt 3/4 of the candy melts for dipping and wait and melt the last 1/4 of the melts right before drizzling.
- Use a second toothpick to help place dipped balls back on the baking sheet.
- Use a toothpick dipped in the candy melts to fill in any missing spots of coating.
- Dab melted candy coating on the back of the heart sprinkle to help it stick better.
- Store Oreo balls in the fridge until ready to enjoy. Because of the cream cheese in the mixture, these should only be out of the refrigerator for two hours.
