Grinder Salad
Description
Grinder Salad features a mix of shredded iceberg lettuce with thinly sliced Italian deli meats and provolone cheese, halved grape tomatoes, diced red onion, sliced pepperoncini peppers, and croutons. The salad is dressed with a homemade creamy dressing that combines mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, sugar, oregano, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese. The dressing evenly coats the ingredients when tossed just before serving, preserving the crispness of the lettuce and crunch of the croutons.
This salad delivers layers of flavor and texture from the combination of savory cured meats, sharp cheese, and fresh vegetables with a tangy, herbed dressing. Each component is sliced to ensure bite-sized pieces, allowing the flavors to blend pleasantly in every bite. It can be served as a hearty salad main or a side, especially alongside sandwiches or Italian-inspired dishes.
For meal prep, ingredients can be layered in mason jars starting with the dressing and tomatoes at the bottom, followed by meats, cheeses, then lettuce and croutons at the top. Dressing should be added and tossed just before serving to avoid soggy ingredients. This approach keeps the salad fresh for later consumption.

- Serve immediately after tossing with dressing to keep the salad crisp and prevent sogginess.
