Ground Beef and Broccoli
Description
This recipe begins by preparing a sauce mixing oyster sauce, cornstarch, cooking sherry, soy sauce, and sugar, which creates a thickened glaze once cooked. The broccoli is steamed briefly to retain crispness and then combined with ground beef sautéed with minced garlic and ginger for aromatic depth.
The ground beef is cooked until a crust develops, which adds texture and flavor, then mixed with the sauce and broccoli to coat evenly. The cornstarch thickens the sauce shortly during cooking, helping it cling to the ingredients. The ginger and garlic boost the overall savory profile with aromatic notes.
This stir-fry is practical for an easy weeknight meal or as part of an Asian-inspired dinner. It pairs well with rice or noodles for a filling dinner providing protein and vegetables in one skillet.
