Ground Beef and Noodles (Asian Style)
Description
This recipe starts by preparing a sauce with soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, ginger, hoisin, fish sauce, and optional sriracha for heat, capturing layers of umami and slight sweetness. Ground beef is cooked with sesame and vegetable oils along with garlic and onion until browned. The sauce and green onions are added and simmered briefly, allowing flavors to marry.
The dish is served over a choice of noodles—such as ramen, rice, or egg noodles—and garnished optionally with more green onions, toasted sesame seeds, or red pepper flakes. The mixture delivers tender beef with a glossy, flavorful coating and a pleasing blend of textures.
The recipe allows flexibility with protein swaps and noodle varieties. Its quick stovetop method provides a fulfilling meal with accessible ingredients.
