Ground Beef Stroganoff

An quick variation on a traditional stroganoff. Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff has a creamy mushroom sauce that is excellent for serving over noodles or rice.

Ingredients
- 2 small onions (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 cups fresh mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Cooked egg noodles
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook until no pink is left.
- Stir in the flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes stirring frequently.
- Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream and heat through.
- Cook the egg noodle according to the package directions.
- Serve stroganoff over a bed of egg noodles garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
