Guinness Chocolate Brownies

Guinness Chocolate Brownies combine rich cocoa powder and flour with dark stout beer to create moist, dense brownies with deep chocolate flavor and subtle malty notes. The batter incorporates oil, sugar, butter, and eggs for a tender crumb. These brownies are topped with a ganache made from semi-sweet chocolate, butter, Guinness, and powdered sugar, adding a smooth, glossy finish with extra intensity.

Description

This recipe for Guinness Chocolate Brownies uses Guinness stout as a liquid ingredient along with vegetable oil and melted butter, which adds richness and moistness to the dense cocoa-based batter. The combination of white sugar, cocoa powder, and flour creates a classic brownie texture balanced by the distinctive flavor of the stout. Baking in a parchment-lined 9×9 pan ensures even cooking and easy removal.

The ganache topping is prepared by melting semi-sweet chocolate with butter and Guinness, then whisking in powdered sugar for sweetness and a creamy, thick finish. This chilled ganache adds a smooth, shiny layer that contrasts with the slightly crumbly brownie base when cut into bars, enhancing presentation and taste.

These brownies can be served as an indulgent dessert or snack, pairing well with coffee or cream. Letting them cool fully before topping and cutting allows the texture to set properly for clean slices and optimal mouthfeel.
