Halloween Candy Bark Recipe
Description
This Halloween Candy Bark uses colored candy melting wafers and white chocolate as bases, melted separately then spread onto parchment-lined baking sheets to form a thin, even layer. The toppings - pretzels, candy corn, and themed sprinkles - add textural contrast with crunch and visual appeal aligned to the holiday. Pressing these toppings gently into the chocolate ensures they adhere well when cooled.
The recipe’s method calls for melting in short microwave bursts for controlled melting, preventing overheating. Cooling the bark in the fridge for 30 minutes solidifies the layers for easy breaking into pieces. The bark’s thickness is thin enough for a crunchy snap but thick enough to hold toppings.
Variations such as using milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, or almond bark as the chocolate base are suggested in the notes, providing flexibility for flavor preference. Additional melted chocolate can be drizzled decoratively after setting for increased chocolate presence.

- 1/2 cup pretzels
- 1/4 cup candy corn
- Sprinkles assorted Halloween

- Place the baking sheet in the fridge and let it cool for 30 minutes.
- Once it is hardened, break it up into irregular pieces.
Notes
- Any melting chocolate can be used, including milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, or almond bark, depending on taste preference.
- For added chocolate detail, melt chocolate in a plastic bag and drizzle over the bark once set.
- Melting can be performed using a double boiler as an alternative to the microwave for better temperature control.
