Ingredients

Servings
  • 15 marshmallows large jumbo
  • 2 1/2 cups white chocolate melting wafers melted, with food coloring as specified to make each design
  • Food Coloring

Instructions

To Prep:

  1. If using straws, cut each in half so they are about 4 inches in length. You can also use candy sticks or lollipop sticks.
  2. Push your straw or candy stick into one of the flat sides of a jumbo marshmallow. Prepare as many marshmallows as you plan to dip, that way you're ready to go once the chocolate is melted.
  3. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper or a silicone mat.
  4. For each color/style of marshmallow pop, you'll need one small microwave safe bowl. Add 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips (or candy melts) to each bowl. Microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring between each heating, until melted and smooth. If using food coloring, stir a few drops of each color into its own bowl of melted white chocolate.
  5. Dip the marshmallows into the melted chocolate and rotate so each marshmallow is completely coated. This is the base coat. Set the marshmallow pops on your lined baking sheet to dry before you decorate the faces.

To Make a Ghost:

  1. Start with a coat of white chocolate, then pipe black candy melts (or melted dark chocolate) on the front to draw a spooky mouth and eyes.

To Make a Mummy:

  1. Start with a base coat of white chocolate, then drizzle melted white chocolate all over the marshmallow. Use candy eyeballs or you can draw on eyeballs with frosting or melted dark chocolate.

To Make Frankenstein:

  1. Start with a green base coat. Use melted dark chocolate or frosting to draw on the hair, stitches, and a mouth.

To Make a Jack-O-Lantern:

  1. Start with an orange base coat. Use melted dark chocolate or frosting to pipe on eyes, nose, and mouth.

To Make Dracula:

  1. Start with a purple base coat set, then use both white and dark chocolate to create hair, eyes, and fangs.
