Halloween Snack Mix

The Halloween Snack Mix blends sweet and salty snacks including candy corn, rice Chex cereal, pretzels, kettle corn, pumpkin candy corn, and Reese's Pieces. Coated with a cinnamon brown sugar butter mixture, the cereal and pretzels are baked to add a light sweetness and a hint of spice before combining with the candies for a festive treat featuring varied textures and flavors.

Description

In this recipe, melted butter is combined with brown sugar and cinnamon to create a glaze that coats the crunchy base of rice Chex cereal and pretzels. Baking this mixture at a low temperature allows the coating to adhere and caramelize slightly, resulting in a sweet, crisp snack base. After cooling, the mix is combined with candy corn varieties, kettle corn, and Reese's Pieces to ensure a balance of sweet candies with crunchy salty elements.

The resulting snack mix offers a combination of buttery sweetness with lightly spiced cinnamon notes along with contrasting textures from the crunchy cereal and pretzels and soft candies. It suits festive occasions, such as Halloween gatherings or casual snacking.
