Instructions
- Roll the dough out to form a 13 x 9 rectangle.
- Add the slices of ham to completely cover the dough. Cover the ham fully with slices of cheese. Cut the cheese as needed to fit.
- Roll the dough up lengthwise. Keep the roll tight and the ham and cheese inside. Pinch the ends close.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 8 pieces. Or for thinner pinwheels, cut them into 10 or 12 pieces. Place the pinwheels into a 9" pie pan and set aside.
- Add the butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning to a microwave-safe dish. Melt the butter for 20-30 seconds. Do not over-melt the butter to prevent separation. Once melted, stir to mix.
- Brush the tops of the pinwheels with butter.
- Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or until the crust is fully cooked and golden.
Notes
- Swiss cheese is the classic choice here, but feel free to mix it up! For a bolder taste, try mozzarella, American, or a sharp cheddar.
- When rolling up your dough, keep it as tight as possible.
- When slicing your rolls, aim for even thickness so they all cook at the same rate.
- These rolls can be baked in a conventional oven. Bake them in a preheated oven at 375 degrees F for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and delicious.
