Healthy Chocolate Mug Cake

Report
This Healthy Chocolate Mug Cake mixes cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt with Greek yogurt, nut butter, maple syrup, milk, and chocolate chips to create a quick single-serving dessert cooked in the microwave. The cake is moist and chocolatey, ideal for an individual treat with minimal effort.

Description

The mug cake is prepared by combining plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a large mug, then adding whole milk, fat-free Greek yogurt, nut butter, and maple syrup before mixing in milk chocolate chips. The batter is microwaved on high for 90 seconds, resulting in a warm, soft chocolate cake with embedded chips.

The Greek yogurt and nut butter contribute moisture and richness without heavy fats, and the maple syrup adds sweetness. This dessert is instantly satisfying and portion-controlled, cooked entirely in one mug.

It's recommended to let the cake cool for a couple of minutes before eating because it will be very hot straight from the microwave. Optional toppings like yogurt or chocolate sauce can be added, and cooking times may vary slightly depending on microwave wattage.
