Heath Bar Poke Cake

The Heath Bar Poke Cake combines a moist German chocolate cake base punctured to absorb layers of warm caramel and hot fudge toppings. Once chilled and frosted with whipped topping, it’s garnished with crushed Heath Bars for crunchy, buttery toffee accents. This dessert offers a rich, fudgy, and caramel flavor profile with moist cake texture enhanced by creamy topping and crunchy toffee pieces.

Description

Starting with a German Chocolate cake mix prepared and baked in a 9 x 13-inch pan, holes are poked into the warm cake to allow the subsequent warm caramel and hot fudge ice cream toppings to seep in, creating moistness and layers of rich flavor. After the toppings are poured evenly, the cake cools fully and is frosted with a thick layer of whipped topping. Crushed Heath Bars are sprinkled both before and after frosting to provide a buttery toffee crunch contrasting the soft, moist cake and creamy topping.

The result is a multi-textured dessert combining moist cake infused with sticky caramel and fudge, light whipped cream, and crunchy candy pieces. The poke method ensures the toppings penetrate the cake for consistent flavor throughout the slice.

This cake suits celebrations or casual desserts, offering a chocolate and caramel lovers’ treat with textural contrasts from the toffee bars. The no-fuss assembly and approachable ingredients make it suitable for home baking.
