Heathy Cookies for Kids

Heathy Cookies for Kids are made by mashing avocado and mixing it with oats and optionally raisins. The dough is shaped into balls, pressed, and baked until lightly golden. These cookies offer a soft texture and mild flavor, incorporating nutritious avocado and whole oats for a wholesome snack suitable for children.

Description

This simple recipe features mashed ripe avocado combined with oats and optionally raisins to form a dough. The avocado gives moisture and healthy fat, while oats provide texture and fiber. The cookies are shaped into small rounds, pressed flat, and baked at 325°F until golden around the edges.

The resulting cookies are mild in flavor, with a soft, slightly chewy texture. Raisins add natural sweetness but can be omitted or swapped for other dried fruits. Variations include adding cinnamon or pumpkin spice for extra flavor, or substituting avocado with mashed banana.

These cookies make a convenient and mildly sweet snack for children that includes some hidden vegetables when using grated carrot. They can also be shaped into finger-like forms to make handling easier for small children.

  • Enhance flavor with cinnamon or pumpkin spice if desired.
  • Sweeten slightly with maple syrup, honey, or agave for those who want a sweeter cookie.
  • Add dark chocolate chips on top after baking for extra sweetness without adding many chips inside.
