Ingredients
- ½ yellow onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 ½ tablespoons ginger, grated
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Chinkiang vinegar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, add ½ yellow onion, 3 cloves garlic, 1 ½ tablespoons ginger, ¼ cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons chinkiang vinegar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon ground black pepperand pulse until the sauce is pureed to the desired consistency.
- Pour the sauce into an airtight container and place in the fridge. Before using, allow the sauce to marinate overnight if possible.
- Use this sauce in stir fries, over rice, or as a dipping sauce!
Notes
- Keep the sauce stored in the fridge for up to 10 days.
- If you would like to spice this sauce up, add 2 teaspoons of sriracha, or more to taste.
- For a sweeter sauce, add additional brown sugar.
