This pistachio smoothie is creamy, nutty, and packed with over 25 grams of protein. It’s perfect for a quick breakfast or a filling post-workout snack.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or pistachio milk
- 1 frozen banana in chunks
- 1 Tablespoon pistachio butter
- 1 coop vanilla protein powder I used Equip Vanilla
- Handful of ice
- ½ -1 Tablespoon no shell pistachios
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, except for the pistachios to a high powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add no shell pistachios and pulse for a few seconds to chop the pistachios up slightly.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Notes
- Banana-free smoothie: The banana is what adds creaminess and sweetness to this smoothie, but if you want a banana-free option, you can swap the frozen banana for frozen avocado, frozen cauliflower rice, or a handful of ice cubes. The texture and flavor won't be the same and you might want to add a medjool date or a touch of honey or maple syrup for some sweetness.
- Storage: This smoothie is definitely best enjoyed right after blending while it’s thick and creamy, but if you want to store it for later you can store it in an airtight container (like a mason jar) in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Just give it a good shake or stir before drinking, as it may separate a little over time.
