Description

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ pound chicken breast cut into 1 inch pieces, boneless skinless
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • sesame seeds for topping
  • green onions for topping

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.  Add the chicken and season it with salt and pepper.  Cook for 4-6 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees F).
  2. Add in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until the garlic is aromatic.
  3. Stir in the hoisin sauce and water.  Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is combined and heat through.
  4. Serve warm topped with the sesame seeds and green onions.  Enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
  • Serving the hoisin chicken over steamed rice complements its sauce and flavors well.
