Hoisin Glazed Meatballs

Hoisin Glazed Meatballs combine ground pork with panko, green onions, and seasoning, baked until cooked through, then coated in a sweet and tangy hoisin sauce spiced with sriracha. The toasted sesame oil in both meatballs and sauce adds a nutty flavor. This dish offers tender, flavorful meatballs glazed with a sticky sauce that balances sweetness and mild heat.

Description

Hoisin Glazed Meatballs are made by mixing lean ground pork with panko breadcrumbs for tenderness, sliced green onions for freshness, egg to bind, cornstarch for texture, and toasted sesame oil with fresh minced ginger to enhance flavor. These are rolled into meatballs and baked until fully cooked and browned.

While the meatballs bake, a sauce is prepared by combining hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, toasted sesame oil, water to thin, and a touch of sriracha for heat. This sauce is heated briefly until slightly thickened, then tossed with the cooked meatballs, creating a glossy glaze that complements the savory pork with a sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy profile.

The glazed meatballs can be garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds to add texture and freshness. They make a flavorful appetizer or main dish and can be served on their own or with rice and steamed vegetables.
