Homemade Alfredo Sauce

This Homemade Alfredo Sauce blends heavy cream, butter, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese into a creamy, rich sauce with garlic and seasoning. Its smooth texture and mild, cheesy flavor work well as a coating for pasta, though it can also be used as a dip or topping. The sauce makes enough to generously dress about one pound of pasta, adjusting easily to taste and quantity needs.

Description

Homemade Alfredo Sauce is built on slowly heated heavy cream and butter melted together with cream cheese and minced garlic, producing a creamy base. Parmesan cheese is whisked in last off heat, melting smoothly into the sauce for cheesy depth, balanced with salt and pepper. The cream cheese helps thicken and stabilize the sauce, giving it a velvety feel.

The sauce is rich and smooth, making it a classic accompaniment for pasta dishes. Its mild garlic and cheese profile allow it to complement various pastas, chicken, and breadsticks.

You can adjust the sauce quantity to coat more pasta if a less saucy dish is preferred. Use freshly shredded or store-bought shredded Parmesan over powdered forms to preserve texture and flavor. The sauce is best served immediately to keep its creamy consistency.
