Homemade Alfredo Sauce

Homemade Alfredo Sauce combines butter, garlic, cream, Italian herbs, and Parmesan cheese to create a rich, creamy sauce that clings well to pasta. The sauce is gently simmered to melt the cheese and thicken the cream, resulting in a smooth texture and balanced flavor. It's a classic accompaniment for pasta, adding indulgence without complicated ingredients.

Description

This Alfredo Sauce begins by melting butter and gently cooking minced garlic to release its aroma without browning. Heavy cream is then added along with dried Italian herbs, and the mixture is simmered to reduce slightly. Parmesan cheese is stirred in last, melting into the cream to provide the signature thickness and savory taste of Alfredo sauce. Seasoning with salt and pepper customizes the final flavor.

The sauce’s creamy consistency coats pasta evenly, making it a classic topping for fettuccine or other varieties. Cooking over moderate heat ensures the cheese melts smoothly without curdling.

Homemade Alfredo Sauce is straightforward to prepare with few ingredients and can be served immediately for best texture.
