Homemade Amaretto
Description
This recipe replicates the classic amaretto liqueur by preparing a syrup from white and brown sugars dissolved in boiling water, which adds depth and sweetness. Once cooled, vodka provides the alcoholic base, while almond extract delivers the signature almond flavor characteristic of amaretto. Vanilla extract is included to add warmth and complexity to the flavor profile.
The mixture is chilled to allow the flavors to combine and mellow before drinking. The homemade amaretto can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Its smooth, sweet profile makes it suitable for sipping on its own or using in cocktails and desserts. Producing homemade amaretto offers control over sweetness and intensity.
