Homemade Crunchy Apple Chips Recipe
Description
Homemade Crunchy Apple Chips are made by slicing apples very thinly, about one-sixth of an inch, then arranging them in a single layer on parchment-lined baking sheets. Sprinkling stevia or sugar along with cinnamon adds sweetness and warm spice to the fruit.
The slices are baked at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for one and a half hours, flipped, and baked for an additional hour. After baking, the oven is turned off, and the apples remain inside for several hours or overnight to complete the drying process. This slow baking and drying method produces crisp apple chips without frying or added oils.
Once crisp, the chips can be stored in airtight bags for convenient snacking. This snack provides a naturally sweet, crunchy alternative to processed snacks.
