Homemade Italian Dressing Recipe
Description
The Homemade Italian Dressing Recipe features red wine vinegar and Dijon mustard as a tangy base, enhanced by finely minced garlic, dry oregano, dry basil, freshly chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese for depth. Crushed red pepper flakes add mild heat, balanced by a touch of sugar. Salt and cracked black pepper season the blend.
After combining the dry and wet ingredients, the olive oil and salad oil are slowly drizzled in while whisking to emulsify into a smooth dressing. It can be refrigerated until ready to use, allowing flavors to meld further.
This dressing also functions well as a marinade for vegetables and proteins. Storing times vary depending on ingredient freshness, with up to two weeks for dry ingredient versions and about a week for fresh.
