Homemade Payday Candy Bar

Homemade Payday Candy Bar recreates the classic treat by layering salted roasted peanuts with a rich, melted mixture of peanut butter chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and mini marshmallows. The combination yields a chewy, sweet, and salty candy bar that firms up after chilling, offering a satisfying texture and peanut-forward flavor.

Description

This Homemade Payday Candy Bar begins by buttering a 9x13 pan and arranging half of the salted dry roasted peanuts as the base layer. The peanut butter baking chips and butter are melted gently over medium-low heat, then combined with sweetened condensed milk and mini marshmallows until fully melted and smooth. This creamy mixture is poured evenly over the peanuts, after which the remaining peanuts are spread on top and gently pressed down.

Refrigerating the assembled bar allows it to cool and set into a firm, sliceable candy with chewy and crunchy textures. The sweetened condensed milk and marshmallows impart sweetness and softness that balance the roasted peanuts' saltiness and crunch.

Once set, the candy can be cut into bars or squares for serving. This homemade version provides control over the peanut quantity and sweetness, replicating the recognizable texture and taste of the commercial Payday candy bar.
