Homemade Peach Crisp

Homemade Peach Crisp combines fresh peeled peaches with a crumbly topping made from oats, pecans, butter, and cinnamon, baked until hot and bubbly. This dessert features a tender, juicy peach filling under a golden, textured crust that offers a balance of sweetness and warmth from brown sugar and spices. It’s a great way to enjoy fresh peaches in a comforting baked dish that serves well as a seasonal dessert.

Description

Homemade Peach Crisp is prepared with peeled fresh peaches tossed with brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon, which creates a thickened and warmly spiced fruit base. The topping blends butter, rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, pecans, and cinnamon into a crumbly mix that crisps during baking, providing a nutty, crunchy contrast to the soft peach filling. Baking at 375°F until the peaches are bubbly ensures the dessert is fully cooked and the topping has a golden finish.

The crisp pairs well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream to offset the warmth and spice. It works well for a casual family dessert or a sweet ending to a summer meal when peaches are in season.

The peaches are peeled easily by scoring the skin and briefly blanching them in boiling water before shocking in cold water, which helps remove skins cleanly and maintains their texture. This method helps achieve a smooth fruit layer beneath the crisp topping.
