Honey Lemon Garlic Salmon

Honey Lemon Garlic Salmon is an oven-baked dish featuring salmon fillets brushed with a marinade of melted butter, honey, Dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice and zest, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. The marinade offers a balanced blend of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors that caramelize lightly while baking. The result is moist, flaky salmon with a glossy, flavorful coating ideal for a straightforward dinner.

Description

This recipe prepares salmon fillets by brushing them with a sauce combining melted butter, sweet honey (which can be substituted with pure maple syrup), grainy Dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice and zest, garlic powder or minced garlic, along with salt and freshly ground black pepper. The salmon is placed skin side down on a lined baking sheet to ensure even cooking and easy cleanup.

Baked at 400°F for about 16 to 18 minutes, the salmon develops a tender, flaky texture with a slightly caramelized exterior from the honey and lemon glaze. The combination of citrus brightness, garlic warmth, and subtle mustard tang complements the natural richness of the salmon without overpowering it.

Serving immediately maintains the salmon's moisture and delicate texture. This straightforward preparation suits pairing with simple sides like steamed vegetables, rice, or salad for a balanced meal. Adjusting the baking time within the suggested range helps achieve preferred doneness.
