Honey Lime Fruit Salad

Honey Lime Fruit Salad blends fresh mango, strawberry, pineapple, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, and banana tossed in a honey, lime zest, lime juice, and poppy seed dressing. The mixture is bright, juicy, and sweet with citrus notes, perfect for a refreshing side or light dessert, especially when served chilled shortly after dressing to maintain freshness.

Description

This fruit salad combines a variety of diced and sliced fresh fruits that offer a range of textures and sweet-tart flavors. The honey lime dressing, incorporating fresh lime zest, juice, and poppy seeds, adds a gentle citrus tang and mild crunch from the poppy seeds, enhancing the fruit's natural sweetness.

The fruit pieces are mixed gently, with bananas added just before serving to prevent browning. The salad stays best refrigerated and should be consumed within 24 hours to retain flavor and texture. Variations can be made by swapping fruits, keeping soft and high-water-content fruits to be added last or left out to avoid excess moisture.

  • 1 lb pineapple diced, fresh
  • 12 oz blueberries
  • 12 oz grapes halved
  • 4 kiwi peeled and diced
  • 2 banana sliced

Honey Lime Dressing

  • ¼ cup honey
  • lime zest of 2 medium
  • 2 Tablespoon lime juice fresh
  • 2 teaspoon poppy seed

Instructions

  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, lime zest, lime juice and poppy seed. Pour over fruit just before serving and toss to evenly coat.

Notes

  • Add softer fruits like bananas or pears just before serving to prevent browning.
  • Avoid very watery fruits such as watermelon to keep the salad from becoming soggy.
  • Dress the salad immediately before serving to maintain freshness and texture.
  • Store the salad refrigerated and consume within 24 hours for best quality.
