Honey Lime Shrimp
Description
Honey Lime Shrimp features peeled and deveined shrimp sautéed in butter and garlic, then coated with a mixture of honey and lime juice. The preparation involves gently cooking the shrimp until just opaque, first on one side, then flipped to finish cooking evenly. The lime zest added at the end brings a bright citrus aroma and flavor contrast to the sweet honey glaze.
The dish has a balance of sweet and tart flavors with a tender and juicy shrimp texture. The short cooking time helps the shrimp remain moist without overcooking. It’s suitable as a main or a flavorful topping over rice, pairing well with simple sides to complement its sauce.
Serving the shrimp warm ensures the sauce remains glossy and coats each piece. Optionally, fresh minced cilantro can be sprinkled over the cooked shrimp for a herbal note that pairs well with lime and honey.
