Honey Sriracha Chicken

Honey Sriracha Chicken features boned chicken thighs with skin, marinated in a balance of honey, tamari, sriracha, and rice vinegar, enhanced with minced garlic. Pan-cooked until golden and finished with a thickened glaze, the dish offers a sweet, spicy, and tangy profile, with optional toasted sesame seeds adding a nutty contrast.

Description

This recipe prepares chicken thighs deboned but with skin left on, marinated in a blend of honey, tamari or soy sauce, sriracha chili sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic. After marinating for 30 minutes, the chicken is cooked in a skillet with oil over medium heat until golden and fully cooked. The remaining marinade is added to the pan and reduced to a glaze that coats the chicken.

The result is a tender chicken with a slightly crispy skin, layered with a sticky, glossy sauce that balances honey's sweetness with sriracha's heat and vinegar's acidity. The optional addition of white sesame seeds complements the flavor and texture.

The recipe also mentions alternate preparation methods, such as baking at 375°F for 20 minutes or grilling, offering versatility in cooking equipment.
