These honey wings, marinated in a flavorful blend of spices, are easy to make and super delicious! Whether you're having a summer cookout, game day party or need a yummy dinner, these wings will be a hit.

Ingredients

  • 2 inches (5cm) ginger skin peeled
  • 1 lb (500g) wingette about 10-12 pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Lemon wedges optional

Instructions

  1. Pound the ginger in a mortar and pestle to extract the juice. Marinate the chicken wings with the ginger juice and all the seasonings. Mix well and marinate for 1-2 hours.
  2. Grill the chicken wings or bake them in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked and golden brown.
  3. Serve immediately with lemon wedges (optional).

Notes

  • Make sure your oven or grill is nice and hot at 375°F (190°C) before you start cooking. This helps your wings cook evenly.
  • Give the chicken wings a quick pat with paper towels before marinating. This helps the marinade stick better and results in a tastier glaze.
  • If you’re baking, put the wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet. This lets the heat circulate all around.
  • Whether you’re grilling or baking, don’t crowd the wings. Give them some space so they cook evenly and get that perfect golden brown.
