Hot Curried Georgia Peaches

Peaches spiced with curry, cinnamon, and cloves, served with butter pecan ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds peach frozen, sliced
  • ½ cup pecan halves
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 ½ teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon cloves ground
  • Pinch salt

For serving:

  • pound cake
  • butter pecan ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the frozen peach slices and pecans in a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Remove the pan from the heat, add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Sprinkle over the peaches and pecans.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring gently every 10-15 minutes.
  4. For each serving, place a slice of pound cake on the plate or in a bowl. Top with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream and hot curried peaches.
