  • 2 1/2 pounds chicken wings separated into two pieces
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated on all sides.
  4. Arrange the coated wings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. After baking, remove the wings from the oven. Turn on the broiler. Brush the wings with hot sauce and place them on a higher rack under the broiler for 10 minutes, or until they start to char and become crispy.
