Ingredients

  • large jar or pitcher
  • white vinegar
  • water
  • dish towel

Instructions

  1. Find a smaller container that’s deep enough for your circulator to run. Something like a pitcher, large mason jar, a small cooler, or a cereal container will work well.
  2. Place the circulator in your container of choice. Add equal parts water and white vinegar - just enough to come above your circulator's fill line.
  3. Set your circulator to 150 degrees F and let it run for 1 hour.
  4. Remove the circulator from the container. I like to use this opportunity to gently wash the outside with water and dish soap, but you don’t have to. Rinse.
  5. Add the circulator back to your container of choice and refill with just water to just above your circulator’s fill line.
  6. Set your circulator to 150 degrees F and let it run for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the circulator from the container and dry it completely with a clean dish cloth.
