Ingredients

  • 2 dips, such as Homemade Ranch, Cream Cheese Fruit Dip or hummus
  • 12 slices each assorted deli meats, such as pepperoni, prosciutto or salami
  • 2 cups cheese cubes or 12 slices each assorted cheeses , such as Colby Jack, provolone or Swiss
  • ½-1 cup soft cheese, such as cream cheese or goat cheese
  • 1 cup each assorted crackers, chips or pretzels
  • 1 cup each assorted chopped or diced vegetables, such as baby carrots, broccoli, cucumber or snap peas
  • 1 cup each assorted chopped or diced fruit, such as apples, blackberries or strawberries
  • ½ cup each assorted nuts, such as almonds or pistachios

Instructions

  1. Place dips in small bowls on opposite sides of the board.
  2. Fold or roll the deli meats and place around the board.
  3. Add the different cheeses on opposite sides from each other.
  4. Place the different types of crackers and pretzels around the board.
  5. Finally, fill in any empty spots with the vegetables, fruit and nuts.
  6. Be sure to set out serving prongs or toothpicks near the tray.

Notes

  • Make ahead of time. Depending on the size of your board, you may want to prepare the items ahead of time. Most items can be prepared and stored separately until you’re ready to arrange your tray.
  • Choose the right balance. As you are choosing items, be mindful of textures as well as colors. You want there to be beautiful pops of color throughout the board. The amount of each ingredient can be adjusted according to the size of your board. 
  • DILL DIP: In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup sour cream, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 1½ tablespoons dried dill weed, 1 tablespoon dried parsley, ½ tablespoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
