- 3 2/3 Cups all-purpose flour or cake flour, 25oz/710g
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 Cup granulated sugar 12oz/340g
- 1/2 Cup light brown sugar 4oz/115g
- 1 Cup butter melted, 8oz/225g
- 2 egg large
- 1/2 Cup PLAIN yogurt or sour cream, 4oz/113g
- 1 1/2 Cup buttermilk 12oz/340g; can be made by milk plus lemon juice or vinegar
- 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
- Food dye (Good quality and concentrated) red, yellow, orange, violet, blue and green

- 1 1/2 cups butter at room temperature, 12oz/340g
- 3 cups icing sugar sifted, 1lb 8oz
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
