Ingredients
- 522 g Potatoes (4)
- 200 g cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoon oil
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- 7-8 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 3 onions
- 3 tomatoes
- 3-4 green chillies
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- coriander/cilantro
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes. Peel and grate them. Similarly, grate the cottage cheese and ginger.
- Finely chop onions, garlic, tomatoes, and chillies.
- Add oil and cumin seeds to a hot pan. Turn cumin seeds aromatic.
- Add the finely chopped garlic and cook until golden brown. Stir in onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Saute ginger and then add tomatoes and chillies. Add all the spices and cook them until soft and tender.
- Mix in grated cheese and potatoes. Adjust the spices.
- Cook it for another 5-8 minutes on low heat. Garnish with fresh herbs.
- Tada! A delicious savory filling is ready to go in your stuffed recipes!
- Allow it to cool completely before use or storage.
Notes
- Avoid overcooking the potatoes, as they might become mushy and hold too much moisture, which can ruin the texture.
- Fresh herbs like cilantro, basil, thyme, or parsley add a bright, aromatic touch to the filling.
- Be sure to let it cool before using.
