How to Make Grilled Pizza

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil or as needed
  • cup Pizza Sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • toppings as desired

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to 500°F.
  2. Prepare all topping ingredients (if using).
  3. Cut an 18" piece of Reynolds Wrap® Non-Stick Foil.
  4. Place the foil dull side up and roll out the pizza dough to ½" thick (or thinner if desired) directly on the foil. Brush both sides of the dough with olive oil.
  5. Transfer the foil to the preheated grill and cook 4-5 minutes or until the dough begins to bubble and is lightly browned on the bottom.
  6. Using tongs, flip the dough over and add pizza sauce, toppings and cheese. Reduce the heat to medium-high, about 400°F.
  7. Close the lid of the grill and cook an additional 4 minutes or until cheese has melted and dough is cooked through.
  8. Cool 5 minutes before cutting.

Notes

  • If your dough is a little bit larger or smaller, it will work in this recipe. Be sure to roll it to ½" thick.
  • ½" thick
  • Pre-cook any toppings you want cooked on the pizza as this recipe cooks fast.
  • If your pizza is browned on the bottom before your toppings are heated through and your cheese is melted, move the pizza to indirect heat and close the lid for a few minutes.
  • This is a thin pizza and makes enough to serve 2 as a meal or 4 as an appetizer.
