Instructions

Oven - No Broiler

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and get out a rimmed baking sheet large enough to hold all of the pieces of bread you want to toast. Do NOT butter or grease it.
  2. Place your chosen slices of bread on the baking sheet in one layer.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the toast for 4-6 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy. Timing will depend on your oven.
  4. Flip the slices over, then return to the oven for another 4-5 minutes until the top side has browned and you have two browned sides on the toast.
  5. Remove, butter if desired and serve.

Broiler Method

  1. Use this method when you have the time to stand and watch the toast for 3-4 minutes! You MUST watch it! I prefer this method as I just get it done quickly.
  2. Place your oven rack in the second from top position in your oven.
  3. Turn on the broiler and get out a rimmed baking sheet large enough to hold all of the pieces of bread you want to toast. Do NOT butter or grease it.
  4. Place your chosen slices of bread on the baking sheet in one layer.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the toast for 1- 1/2 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy. Timing will depend on your oven and watch the toast!
  6. Flip the slices over, then return to the oven for another minute or so, until the top side has browned, and you have two browned sides on the toast.
  7. Remove, butter if desired and serve.
