Ingredients
- 1 plant-based beef Impossible brand, 12 oz pack
- 1 plant-based sausage Impossible brand, savory, 14 oz
- 4 oz cheese shredded
- 1 pack flour tortillas 8 inch
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsps broth (chicken or vegetable is perfect! low sodium or unsalted is even better!)
- cooking oil Vegetable or canola, for frying
Seasonings for the Flautas
- 1 tsp adobo seasoning
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
Toppings (optional)
- Pico de Gallo
- jalapeños
- cheese sauce
- guacamole
- lime
Instructions
- Cook your meat on medium heat and season it with the spices.
- While your meat simmers, shred your cheeses.
- Once your meat cools, add a spoonful to a center of your tortilla along with a sprinkle of cheese. Roll your tortillas tight, and seal with a toothpick.
- Using about 3 inches of oil, fry your taquitos on high heat oil, until they are golden brown, flipping occasionally. Use a pair of tongs to hold the taquitos down. They will rise to the top,!
- Garnish with guacamole pico, jalapeños, lime or even cheese sauce!
