Instant Pot Chicken Tacos (Pressure Cooker)

Instant Pot Chicken Tacos are made by cooking boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a pressure cooker with taco seasoning, chicken broth, and salsa. The chicken becomes tender enough to shred and absorbs the seasoning flavors. The resulting shredded filling can be served in taco shells or tortillas with various fresh toppings for a customizable meal.

Description

This recipe uses chicken breasts cooked under pressure with broth, taco seasoning, and salsa, creating moist, flavorful meat that shreds easily with a fork. The quick pressure cooking method infuses the seasoning throughout without drying out the chicken. The cooked mixture remains saucy and ready for assembling tacos.

Serving the shredded chicken with taco shells or small flour or corn tortillas allows guests to add preferred toppings such as tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and additional salsa. This versatility caters to different tastes and adds freshness to the dish.

The recipe notes to adjust cooking time if using smaller chicken breasts and offers suggested toppings. Since the instructions are simple, this recipe suits a convenient meal option that yields tender shredded chicken with classic taco flavor.
