Instant Pot Cinnamon Apples

Make these quick and easy cinnamon apples in your pressure cooker!

Ingredients
- 6 Granny Smith apples peeled and thinly sliced
- ½ c. granulated sugar
- ½ c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp butter cubed
- 1 c. water
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Place the apples in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
- Add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter to Instant Pot. Stir to combine the mixture.
- In a small bowl combine the water and cornstarch, whisk to combine then add to the Instant Pot. Stir mixture to combine.
- Place the lid on the Instant Pot, lock and make sure the valve is in the sealing position.
- Press the manual button, high pressure and set the time to cook for 10 minutes.
- Once the Instant Pot has finished pressure cooking, do a quick release to release any remaining pressure.
- Once the valve drops, open the Instant Pot, gently stir the apples and serve.
Notes
- STORAGE TIPS
- You can make them ahead and keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Warm them up on the stove or in the microwave.
- You can also freeze cooked apples. Allow them to cool and then store them in a freezer container. They will keep well for up to three months.
